Start with your plans and priorities
Explain what you intend to build, where the site is and how far your plans have progressed. Share existing drawings, measurements or a specification if you have them. You can also start with an outline of your ideas.
Define the work before agreeing a programme
The scope, site access, materials and technical information needed will depend on the proposal. Discuss what is included, what is excluded and which decisions remain outstanding before agreeing the work.
Preparing for a quotation
Your intended budget and preferred timing provide useful context. Discuss access for deliveries and storage, material choices and who will supply each item. Timing needs to be agreed for the individual project.
